****A Note about Scanning for Film Recorders****
The values returned for 2k--16k film recorders are optimal values. In actual practice, lower resolution files (with correspondingly lower file sizes) can be utilized with good results. These values are generated so that the original aspect ratios are maintained, with the image using the maximum possible area on the film. Contact your service bureau for more information on scanning for film recorder output.
